Thanks to my training as a dietician and the ‘Qualified Diet and Nutrition Counsellor VFED’ certificate, I fulfil the provider qualification for nutrition specialists, which is required in the prevention guidelines of the GKV-Spitzenverband der Health Insurance. This is a prerequisite for the proportionate assumption of costs by health insurance companies for preventive nutritional counselling and therapy. Services according to § 20 SGB V or §43SGB V.

My services are invoiced on an hourly basis and with proof for the health insurance company.

The health insurance companies currently support your appointments between 40% - 100%, please enquire in advance.

Individual counselling:

You will need a certificate of necessity or a prevention recommendation from your doctor for your individual counselling to be covered by your health insurance. You can download these at the bottom of this page. AOK Bayern insured persons are often not supported in individual counselling, as the AOK have their own counsellor. However, it is worth contacting the health insurance company directly. Prevention courses have fewer hurdles there.

Prevention course:
In order to receive a subsidy for a prevention course, it is sufficient to submit the course certificate with the invoice to the health insurance company. You will receive the certificate after completing the course. Please enquire in advance about the extent to which the course is subsidised by your health insurance fund.

If nutritional therapy is deemed necessary by the rehabilitation centre as an aftercare service and recommended accordingly on form G4900, the pension insurance will cover the costs for up to 10 appointments initially; an extension is possible.
 
In the case of children, the parents must be involved.
